<description>When I went home for Christmas, I made a French 75 variation for my step-mom and me since we are both fans. I used Plymouth, a Meyer Lemon simple syrup I made in place of the lemon juice and simple syrup, and a sparking Ros?. We called it the French 73.

For the simple syrup, use about 1 tablespoon of zest per cup of sugar, mash it in and let it sit for a bit then use the citrus sugar to make the syrup. You could strain the zest out afterward, but I leave it in mine... it makes it taste like you are drinking candied lemon peels.
