Gents,

Having read your blogs and sites for sometimes I am now in the position to deliver you some of our mezcal. My name is Steve and I am in the process with my partners of preparing to export our brand of mezcal, Ilegal Mezcal, to the US. To this end I have a friend delivering some of our booze to DC this weekend. Could you please let me know your details in order to allow me to get the mezcal to you, and to hear your thoughts on the liquid, label and all that jazz.

All the best Steve

Susan: I'm glad you found us! Hopefully you have found enough to keep visiting (and if not, and there is something particular you are interested in, just let us know!)

As far as finding new things to try a lot of it is seeing what is out there on the interweb, what our friends are doing, what local bartenders are doing, etc. Many of our ingredients are from VA ABC stores or Ace Beverage in DC, but lately we've been receiving more samples. But we try hard to let it known when we're reviewing a sample. A lot of what we do is also just experimental, the "why-the-hell-not" stage.

Cheers!

Absolutly facinating & fun. I've just found your site & wonder how you find new things to try, where do you get them? One store, many stores, samples?
Keep you the good work,

Thanks Greg! For you home viewers out there, Greg is referring to a cocktail submitted during a recent TDN over at the Mixoloseum. Here is the recipe:

G, G & G
2oz gin
1oz grapefruit juice
1/4oz lemon juice
1/2oz cinnamon syrup
2 dashes Angostura bitters
1 dash orange bitters
ginger beer, to top

Build over crushed ice and stir. Donate a healthy portion of ginger beer on top.

Cheers!
