Ashley is a craft cocktail bartender at Jack Rose Dining Saloon in Washington DC. Jack Rose offers the largest whiskey selection in the Western Hemisphere with over 1,500 bottles in whiskey alone. Ashley has gained extensive knowledge in whiskey (single malts, bourbon, independent bottling companies, international whiskies-Japanese, Indian, Welsch, Irish, etc- and of course, blended whiskey). She is very well versed in creating whiskey flights and has an advanced tasting palate in this area. Her knowledge of other spirits (gin, vodka, mezcal, tequila, amaros, etc) is vast as well. While at Jack Rose, Ashley has taken the lead in the creation of Jack Rose’s seasonally, rotating cocktail menu, has created specialty event cocktails based on product funded dinners (ie: Bulleit, Genever, etc), has created custom cocktail creations for special customer events, etc. She competed in the DC Craft Bartenders Guild 5th Annual Rickey competition in Washington DC Summer 2012 and shot for the cover of the Washingtonian magazine for best bars in 2013. Ashley has been bartending for over 5 years. She has a great love for cocktails and customers. In her mind, creating cocktails is similar to understanding the art of science; it needs to be understood and appreciated down to the smallest, nitty-gritty detail.
