Yesterday I was looking at the calendar and I was overcome by a wave of nostalgia.? You see, in one week, October 10th to be exact, The Scofflaw’s Den will celebrate our first birthday!? On October 10, 2007, SeanMike and I wrote our first posts and began down the cocktail culture road.? In one short year, we have made new friends, been afforded the opportunity to imbibe in some of the best establishments in the US and have sampled tasty treats.? And honestly, from this Scofflaw at least, I can say that the best part of this trip has been meeting people, making new friends and being able to share this hobby with one of my best friends.

To celebrate this past year, and what I hope to be many years to come, we’re going to go out drinking!? [What else did you expect?] If you are around DC and have the notion to join us, we would love for people to come out and have a few with us.? But where?? Well, the plan as of now is to hit two of our favorite spots – Bourbon (Adams Morgan location) and Central.? There could be a few other places we’ll pop our heads into, but that will be a game-night decision.
